ETF Trading Research 10/25/2018
2700 acted as a big resistance today and the Amazon results after hours might have just confirmed that. I’m working on getting us some bigger runners but got stopped out of SOXL by just a fraction or today would have been better. GUSH too I thought we could break 23 as /ES was moving up but failed and stopped out. Could have stuck with DUST yesterday and even bought this morning. Excited about buying JNUG lower though. Did well with TVIX today overall and we could have took a chance and held some into earnings but that is always a risk, especially after hours.

GDP Friday.

Stock Market
GDP comes in tomorrow and if negative, it will push the market lower. It will be harder to trade some ETFs pre-market. I tried to get a quick SQQQ trade out to you all after hours with a slight mention of TVIX after Amazon earnings disappointment. Maybe someone caught it.
I want to concentrate on LABD and SOXS tomorrow if we can, as well as TVIX.
On the long side, I’ll still try LABU or SOXL if they want to offer us something. We were split but with overall positive results on the two today and would have came out ok on SOXL but for about a 1/10 of a point stop out.
Foreign Markets
YANG, RUSS and BZQ should come into play again tomorrow on the /ES weakness and overall market wanting to go lower no matter how much it may want to go higher. I will still trade both sides of the U.S. market but lean only short here.
Interest Rates
Not much action here today.
Energy
Like how DGAZ can maybe get us a buy again. I’ll keep trading the dips on it rather than long UGAZ at this point.
GUSH finally broke out of the Cold Corner but had nothing in its tank because of an overall bear tint to the market.
Precious Metals and Mining Stocks
DUST was the trade of the morning and I hated missing it after being in it late last night. No excuses there. Like to see a continuation lower now and keep an eye on JNUG for some trades long the further we fall in miners. Gold and silver held up ok though. No change there on the nightly report.
